A few weeks ago we sent an email to you, our VIP members, asking if you’d like to take part in a shoot for the May issue of Stylist. Our fashion director, Lucy, had declared summer 2025 to be the season of the dress. Already the hardest-working item in our wardrobe, Lucy argued that this season there are more variations of summer dresses – from prairie and puff ball to shift and mini – than ever before, meaning there really is a style for everyone. But I wanted to test that theory. So, we launched our Summer Dress Project, with the ambition to style 50 women in 50 different dresses, each taking into consideration not just the person’s body and taste, but their personality, too. And, of course, we wanted to include you in that challenge. So, on a balmy weekend in April, 10 VIPs came along to a fashion shoot in Shoreditch, east London, to be styled by our fashion team and shot by our photographer, Sarah Brick. You can see the results in your May issue, which should be coming through your letterbox next week.
