You’re Going To Love: Aunt Joy
In the latest of our series focusing on up-and-coming independent brands with women and non-binary founders, allow us to introduce you to Aunt Joy

What is it? Launched in August, Aunt Joy is an online gallery and shop which showcases contemporary art created by women – with 10% of every purchase going to a pool of women-centred charities.

Who’s behind it? Australian-born, London-based Amy Gardner, who previously worked in the charity sector and event production before becoming a full-time artist, which led her to launch Aunt Joy.

Why you’ll love it: Given only 13.7% of living artists represented by galleries in Europe and North America are women, Aunt Joy is here to make a positive change thanks to its mission to “pave an easier path for the younger generation of female creatives,” Amy tells Stylist Loves. “All works are created by established and emerging artists with unique voices, and with one clear intention: to continue working towards a more balanced representation of artists present in the industry today.” We’re particularly drawn to Mew Welch’s geometric colour block print (£80), along with Filipino artist Kris Lamorena’s abstract portraiture (from £300), but with an array of limited-edition prints, original paintings, collage, mixed media, photography and sculpture on offer, you’re sure to find something that’ll add more joy to your space. From £75, auntjoygallery.com

This fancy food is having an unexpected comeback – and TikTok is obsessed

Blame TikTok, but caviar is having a (somewhat surprising) moment. Thanks to a recent trend featuring the delicacy being served on Doritos which has clocked up a mind-boggling 1.6 billion views, the five-star roe is now splashed across social media feeds and restaurant menus as people seek out small luxuries during the economic crisis. For those not on board with TikTok’s high-low flavour combination, famed caviar house Kaspia opens its doors in Mayfair this week, with a menu dedicated to all things Beluga, while both Bob Bob Ricard’s Soho and City locations serve a caviar degustation, offering a taste of Siberian, Oscietra and Amurski sturgeon.

Boston import Saltie Girl has an off-piste take in the form of their signature cocktail: a martini garnished with a gordal olive, picked onion and caviar, while Jacuzzi – the new Kensington venue from the Italian-centric Big Mamma Group – will boast caviar-topped antipasti in the form of prawn ceviche and pizzetta when it opens later this month, with west London’s new roller disco Flippers also serving caviar-loaded fries. Prefer to dabble at home? Fine Food Specialist’s taster pot (£19.50) is ideal for those looking to sample the delicacy, while fully-fledged fans can dive into Fortnum’s Baerii caviar (£65), although Waitrose’s Elsinore lumpfish (£5) variety offers a purse-friendly alternative. Serve yours à la chef Clodagh McKenna alongside salt-baked potatoes and crème fraîche, or take a leaf out of TikTok’s book and go meta with Torres’ caviar crisps (£4.50). Don’t knock it ‘til you try it.
